Allen Kelley

Lebanon, VA – Allen Kelley, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was the son of the late Rolley and Nora Kelley. He retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making knives and gunsmith work. He loved spending time with and taking pictures of his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Pansey Phipps and Bessie Kelley; brothers: Edward Kelley, Cecil Kelley, and Carl Kelley.

Survivors include his wife: Lucy Kelley; daughters: Christine Keene and husband Steve “Phil” Keene, Kim Baker and husband Greg, and Missy Kelley; step-daughter: Heather Ratliff and husband Robby; sisters: Catherine Cox and husband Danny, Vonda Walsh and husband Clifford, and Edith Counts; brothers: James Kelley, Kenneth Kelley and wife Betty, and Blaine Kelley and wife Shirley; grandchildren: Jared Keene, Shianna Andrews and husband Joshua, Bella Keene, Brandon Baker and wife Katelyn, Caleb Powers and fiancé Kaela Regan; great-grandchildren: Eliza Andrews and Jaxon Taylor; along with several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Dr. Wiley Greene and Emit Boothe.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, October 30, 2023, in the Combs - Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Mike Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, October 29, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve “Phil” Keene, Greg Baker, Brandon Baker, Jared Keene, Robby Ratliff, and Caleb Powers.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Jones, Blaine Kelley, Kenneth Kelley, and James Kelley.
