Lebanon, VA – Anthony David Pugh, age 50, of Lebanon, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. Tony will be remembered for his love of golf, the Dallas Cowboys and the UT Vols. He was the most humble, gentle and patient man with the best smile. He will be sorely missed, but he will live in our hearts forever.
We do not even have the words to express how much we love you and are going to miss you. If you knew Tony you loved Tony. He was the sweetest, kindest, most humble human being. This just seems so unreal how can this be happening? He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone out; the world needs more Tonys.
He is survived by his wife Kasie Pugh of Lebanon, VA; son: Tucker Matney and daughter: Morgan Matney, both of Lebanon, VA; treasured grandson: Weston Whited; parents: Charles and Loruga Greever of Lebanon, VA; cherished cousin: Casey Barton; and life-long friend: Sam Jones.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at the Bristol Regional Medical Center that took such good care of Tony.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Rod Wicker and Pastor Craig Barber officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Jones, Sean Mitchell, Kenny (Kennybear) Owens, Michael Dotson, James Dingus, Eric Puckett, Kai Barton, Cole Barton, Mollie Barton and Jerry Hart.
