Barbara Sue Campbell

Nickelsville, VA – Barbara Sue Campbell, age 78, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2023. She attended Mountain View Community Church and enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, and quilting. She was a member of Meals of Love of Nickelsville. She loved to take care of people and to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Harvey and Nellie Osborne; two brothers: Holland Osborne and Grover Osborne; sister: Helen Salyers.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years: Ralph Campbell; son: Robert Campbell and wife Toni; sister: Cora Dean; brothers: Wayne Osborne, Blaine Osborne, Dan Osborne, Dane Osborne, and Bill Osborne; grandchildren: Chelsea Fiddler and husband Nathaniel; step-grandchild: Seth Street and wife Tanya; step great-grandchild: Hunter Street; sisters-in-law: Carol Gray and Nancy Hale; along with several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Riddle, Rev. Calvin Lester, and Rev. Bill Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in the Campbell Family Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45pm.

Serving as pallbearers will be Perry Salyer, Wayne Norris, Luke Smith, Harvey Osborne, Kenneth Patrick and Colyn Wampler.
