Bonnie Lee Grizzle

Castlewood, VA – Bonnie Lee Jannisch Grizzle, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 3, 2023. Born May 3, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Shirley Jannisch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Claude A. “Pete” Grizzle; children: Cleveland B. Grizzle and Valerie Ennis; sister: Dolores Jean Jannisch; grandchild: Sarah Ruth Carpenter; son-in-law: William Alvin Carpenter.

She is survived by her daughters: Sherrie Carpenter, Laurie Kennedy and husband Tom; son: Walter Grizzle and wife Kim; son-in-law: Ronald Ennis; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Beverly Newman, Denise Carlisle, Sheryl St. Antoine; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 in the Grizzle Family Cemetery, Castlewood, VA with Pastor Stephen Musick officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Hileman, Robbie Hileman, Ryan Hileman, Jeff Moore, Collin Moore, Derek White, Foster Layne, and Stuart Smith.
