Brenda Gail Vencill

Castlewood, VA – Brenda Gail Vencill, age 64, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Born June 7, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Saddler. She was the co-owner since 1977 and operator of Bobby Vencill Trucking Company, Inc. for over twenty years. Her family was number one in her life, especially her grandchildren. She was like a mother to all of her children’s friends. She was a life-long member and secretary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Billy Vencill.

Survivors include her husband of forty-six years: Bobby Vencill; son: Bryan Vencill and wife Jessica; sister: Betty Jo Sullivan and husband Doug; grandchildren: Brayden Vencill and Julianna Vencill; mother-in-law: Dorothy Vencill; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 in Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Wayne Huffman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 in Ketron Memorial Gardens. All those wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home by 10:45 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Roberts, Will Jessee, Craig Jacobs, Jackie Miller, Michael Moore, Gary Easterly, Bobby Easterly, Jay Buttsavage.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and any past employees of Bobby Vencill Trucking Company.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, donate.lovetotherescue.org.
