Brenda Joyce Childress Lambert

Brenda Joyce Childress Lambert, 82, passed away on Sunday, September 28th, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Earl Childress and Ethel Bartley Childress; husband, Bill Lambert; sisters, Betty Bustamonte and Debbie Paul; brother, Buddy Childress.

Brenda was a graduate of Radford University and taught school in Russell County for 32 years. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include sons, Kent Lambert and wife Karen, Shannon Lambert and wife Lisa; brother, Bill Childress; grandchildren, Jessica Lambert and Kira Lambert; brother-in-law, Richard Paul. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2025 at 7 pm in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service chapel with Pastor Robert Gragg officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service.
