Clara Odell Nash
Valentines, VA – Clara Odell Yates Nash, age 95, formerly of Lebanon, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and farming. She also enjoyed quilting. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Mary Yates; husband: Clyde Nash; two sons: Lewis Nash and Hubert Nash. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her daughter: Catherine Alley and husband Tim of Bristol, VA; son: Wayne Nash and wife Sue of Valentines, VA; six grandchildren: Alan Nash, Amy Keen and husband Ernie, Crystal Seaton and husband Travis, Brandi Halloway and husband Marty, Holly Buchanan and husband Eric, Ann Marie Widener and husband Travis; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Clara Odell Yates Nash will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the Combs – Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Aaron Feeser officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Russell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Combs – Hess Funeral Service Chapel in Lebanon, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Nash, Ernie Keen, Brock Keen, Eric Buchanan, Les Buchanan, Travis Widener, Cole Widener, Ethan Widener and Marty Halloway.
A special thanks to her devoted nieces and nephews.
