Clyde Dennis Salyer

Castlewood, VA – Clyde Dennis Salyer, age 66, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born on August 10, 1957. He was the son of Mary Johnson Salyer, and the late Turner Gilmer Salyer. Clyde gave his life to the Lord September 23, 2013. Clyde loved going to church and reading his bible. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going hunting and fishing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Reva Meade.

He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years Kathy Salyer; Son: Roy Salyer and wife Chelsea; daughter: Mandy Terry and husband Jason; grandson; Creed Salyer; granddaughters: Shay Terry, Bree Terry, Leah Terry, and Grayson Salyer siblings: Elizabeth Gobble, Freda Deel and Turner Salyer.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2023, at Antioch House of Prayer 19479 Northfork River Rd. Abingdon Va 24210 with Pastor Jason Nunley and Rev. Dale Wheeler officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Burial will be 11:00amTuesday November 7, 2023 at the Salyer family cemetery 104 Steel Hollow Rd. Castlewood VA, those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30am to go in procession to the cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Shanks, David Berg, Stevie Salyer, Matthew Ball, Steve Willis, and Roy Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nick Shortridge. Jack Nunley, Jason Terry, Dan Nunley, Gary Salyer, and Turner Salyer.
