Connie Powers Mullins

LEBANON, Va. Connie Powers Mullins, age 83, went to be with the Lord, December 17, 2024. She was born November 27, 1941, in Pound, Va., second daughter of Arlin and Hazel Lipford Powers. She was a member of East Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. Connie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. She also served in many capacities as a member of the Virginia FCE (formerly the Extension Homemakers).

She was preceded in death by her husband Denvil, her parents, and her brother James Arthur Powers and sister Frankie Powers Sanders.

Survivors include two sons, Denny and wife, Stephanie, Knoxville, Tenn. and Wesley and wife, MeChelle, Fall Branch, TN; grandchildren: Leyton, Knoxville, TN; Bryan, Louisville, TN; and Emily, Fall Branch, TN; sister, Arlene Sanders and husband AC, Wise, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

 The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Autumn Care – Farragut TN.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens.

 Honorary pallbearers will be the men of East Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to East Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church, Lebanon, VA. 24266.
