Cora Ellen Dean

Cora Ellen Dean, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

She was preceded by her parents, Harvey Osborne and Nellie Hicks Osborne; husband, Fred Dean; sisters, Sue Campbell and Helen Salyers; brothers, Grover Osborne and Holland Osborne.

Cora was a long-time member of Mountain View Church. She loved to grow flowers and garden, loved to fish and work puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Mark Dean; brothers, Dan Osborne (Carolyn), Dane Osborne, Wayne Osborne (Betty), Bill Osborne (Myra) and Blaine Osborne (Juanita); grandchildren, Christina Quillen (Kevin) and Hunter Dean; great-grandchildren, Brady Quillen, Kalyn Quillen and Kylie Porter.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted 7 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2026 in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Dwayne “Punk” Riddle officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home. The committal service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Temple Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am to go in procession to the cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brady Quillen, Hunter Dean, Dusty Osborne, Harley Nash, Tilden Nash and Kevin Quillen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Osborne, Dane Osborne, Wayne Osborne, Bill Osborne, Johnny Osborne and Blaine Osborne.
