Denver Denton Boggs

Lebanon, VA – Denver Denton Boggs, age 97, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2023. He was the son of the late Feirl and Vesta Boggs. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and working with horses. He served honorably in the United States Army and was a WWII Veteran. He attended Ferbie Chapel in Pound, VA and Oak Grove in Lebanon, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Cynthia Boggs; son: Larry Wayne Boggs; and first-born daughter.

He is survived by his daughter: Brenda Boggs Thomas; sons: Denver Curtis Boggs, Jack Boggs, Gregory Lee Boggs, and Christopher Hobert Boggs; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Scotty Perkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service will be private.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons.
