Donald David Bailey, age 84, went to be with the Lord October 4, 2024. Born May 27, 1940 the son of the late Newton and Mary Lucas Bailey. Donald was of the Baptist faith, he was a US Army Veteran, loved to fish, read, and play Rook. He also enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Bailey; brothers: Bob Bailey, Hargis Bailey and William Bailey; sisters: Sally Steffey, Lutie Steffey, Margaret Bailey, Josephine Dever, and Ollie Bailey.
He is Survived by his sons: Donald Bailey Jr., Tony Bailey and wife Goldie, Mark Bailey and wife Stephanie, and Andy Bailey; sisters: Evelyn Crotty, and Ada Bryant and husband Les; brothers: Jim Bailey and Dean Bailey and wife Doris; Grandchildren: Michael Bailey Jr., Jonathan Bailey, Everett Rose and wife Melissa and Arthur Rose; great grandchildren: Scotty Smith and Hailey Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted11:00am Wednesday October 9, 2024, in the Combs-Hess funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Steffey and Rev. Donnie Musick officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Tuesday October 8, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by Lebanon V.F.W. Post 9864.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Parker, Billy Cross, Tony Bailey, Everett Rose, Russell Cox and Greg Jacobs.
