Douglas Allen Hartsock

Castlewood, VA – Douglas Allen Hartsock, age 80, passed away on April 24, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father: Claude and Dorothy Hartsock.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years: Gaynell Meade Hartsock; two sons: Billy Hartsock and fiancé Tina of Dungannon, VA, and Danny Hartsock and wife Patsy of Nickelsville, VA; one grandson: Billy Hartsock, Jr. and wife Oksana of Meadowview, VA; granddaughter: Anastasia Hartsock; two great-grandkids: Alexis Hartsock and Jeremiah Carrico; two sisters: Myrtle Porter and Nora McGlothlin; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Oakley Hartsock and Elwood Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Salyers, Terry Burton, Brent Harmon, Ethan Porter, Nathan Hurd, and Curtis Riner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Harmon, Tom Meade, and Roy Stanley.
