Eva Candler Fields

Eva Candler Fields, 95, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alden Candler and Molly Elizabeth Duncan Candler; husband, William Samuel Fields; son, Willliam Wayne Fields; siblings, Etta Kiser, Richmond Candler, Thelma Bowles, Louise Couch, Leonna Wallace, Jim Candler and Swanson Candler.

Eva was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She was employed at C and P Telephone Company for 14 years, Lebanon Apparel Factory as a supervisor and trainer for 31 years and a Wal Mart greeter for 17 years.

Survivors include her son, Timothy Fields; sisters, Aladean Clark; grandson, William Thomas Fields; great-grandchildren, Landon Fields, Easton Fields and Dawson Fields. Numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Eddie Hall, Jean Dickenson and Becky and Ron Atkins also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Randy Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Committal service will be conducted in Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with burial to following at Russell Memorial Cemetery.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Landon Fields, John Osborne, Matthew Dye, William Thomas Fields and Easton Fields.
