Harry William Alderson

Cleveland, VA – Harry William Alderson, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was born on May 3, 1947. He was the son of the late Lindsay and Katie Alderson. He loved horseback riding, fishing, and restoring old cars. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Harry Wayne Alderson; brothers: Tom D. Alderson and Luther “Shag” Alderson; sisters: Catherine Tompa and Anna Ruth Powers.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years: Stella Louise Alderson; sons: Timothy A. Alderson and wife Vickie Helton-Alderson and Jason L. Alderson and wife Sharon Alderson Hall; sisters-in-law: Sandy Alderson, Lakie and husband Dale Dean, Darlene Nunley and husband Ronnie; brothers: Dick Alderson and wife Scarlett; grandchildren: Tyler Alderson, Madison Griffin, Seth Alderson, Caleb Alderson, Halle Alderson, and Austin Riggs; daughter-in-law: Audrey Alderson; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Sandy Alderson and Darlene Nunley for all the help and to Adam Alderson for all the love and support during Harry’s illness.

A service will be held at a later date.
