Henrietta Johnson Keene

Henrietta Johnson Keene, age 98, went to be with the Lord Saturday June 27, 2026. Born April 06, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ollie and Croda Meade Johnson.

Henrietta was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Keene; sisters: Rheba Starnes and Margaret Duty; and son-in-law: Larry Wysor.

She is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Keene Wysor of Honaker, VA; grandchildren: David Belcher and wife Regina of Rosedale, VA, John Belcher and wife Chaisty of Chelsa, Alabama; great grandchildren: Michael Belcher and wife Juli, Nick Belcher, Cara Belcher, Colin Belcher; great- great grandchildren: Jett Belcher, and another on the way Jones Belcher; sister: Anne Busic of Wytheville, VA; brother: Tommy Johnson and wife Nancy of Christiansburg, VA; special sister-in-law: Margaret Runyon.

Special friends: Becky and Jackie Gilbert and Joe and Jennifer Yates; Caregivers: Linda Dye and Carol Courtney; and Caris Hospice.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral service for Henrietta will be held at 7:00pm Monday June 29, 2026, in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Pastor Doug Ballew officiating. Interment will be at 11:00am on Tuesday June 30, 2026, in Russell Memorial Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:40am to go in precession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm prior to the funeral service.
