Jerry Dean Hart, Sr.

Abingdon, VA- Jerry Dean Hart, Sr., age 74, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his home. Born September 3, 1947. He was the son of the late Sherman and Bonnie Testerman Hart. He was a retired from AEP, loved his grandchildren, loved to play basketball and enjoyed camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife: Barbara Elaine Hart; sisters: Shelby Hart and Jenny Hart; brothers: Don Hart, JC Hart and Jack Hart.

Survivors include sons: Jerry Dean Hart Jr. and Brian Hart; sisters: Mary Divers, Nancy Bailey and Peggy Kremski; brother: Russ Hart; grandchildren: Ethan Hart and Harley Harris; great- grandchild: Katelynn Harris; special nieces: Carol Schrader and Patty Hart; and nephew: Jim Hart.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Ketron Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
