Jerry Wayne Smith

Jerry Wayne “Bucky” Smith, 72, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Smith and Iristena Kiser Smith; brother, Geary Smith; sister, Joyce White; brother-in-law, George White and sister-in-law, Eileen Reynolds.

Jerry retired from R.H. Boulghany. He loved to ride horses and farm.

Survivors include his loving and faithful wife of 46 years, Alice Smith; son, Chad Smith; sister, Tammy Smith; sisters-in-law, Linda Dye, Anita Farmer and Faye Tignor; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Mullins and Hank Mullins; special little friend, Draven Hicks. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Randy Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be conducted at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Temple Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home by 11:00 am to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Farmer, Wesley Alexander, Thomas Duty, Randy Smith, Ronnie Bush and Nick Bush.
