Kathy Jo Dye

Rosedale, VA – Kathy Jo Dye, age 60, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born April 1, 1962 the daughter of the late Hobert Clayton Taylor and Elizabeth Russ Taylor.

Kathy loved to cook, camp and go to the beach but most of all spending time with family.

 In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sisters: Deborah Sue “Debbie” Jacobs, Neva Jean “Cookie” Strohmeier; brothers: Hobert Daniel “Danny” Taylor, Gaines Clayton “Mooch” Taylor, Gerold Thomas “Tommy” Taylor.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 41 years Bobby Lee Dye; daughter: Sonya Smith and husband Kenny; grandsons: Liam and Kaziah Smith; sister: Revonda Gay Taylor; brothers: Ralph David Taylor, Donald Wayne “Tooter” Taylor; special niece and caretaker Beth Whited and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. William Reid officiating. Burial will follow in the Ketron Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday September12, 2022.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kavonta Smith, Keshawn Smith, Mike Sullivan, Rodney Phipps, Jed Chafin and Jason Hess.
