Lavona Faye Alexander

Johnson City, TN – Lavona Faye Alexander, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 18, 2022. Born January 21, 1945. She was the daughter of the late James and Hazel Wheeler. She was of the Christian faith, enjoyed music and loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years: Kenneth Newton Alexander; daughter: Lavona Arcel Alexander; and sister: Brenda Wheeler.

Survivors include her daughter: Lisa Ann Bellamy and husband Robert; several sisters and brothers all of whom reside in Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, support.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Minister Seth Atkinson officiating. Private interment will follow the service in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
