Leola Helen Warner

Lebanon, VA – Leola Helen Warner, age 95, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was born on December 23, 1927. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, work word searches, sew, and spend time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Pearl Hart; husband: Thomas Warner; sisters: Lucille Boardwine, Eileen Godsey, and Nellie Hart; brothers: Clifton Hart, and Kyle “Pete” Hart; stepdaughter: Oma Dye; and son-in-law: Stuart Vance.

She is survived by her daughter: Nancy Vance; son: Donald “Tommy” Warner; brother: Willard Hart and wife Linda; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to her neighbor: Amanda Wallace, who provided company and care for her many mornings and the staff of Russell County Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Dr. Don Zampogna and Rev. Darrell Fletcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 in Ketron Memorial Gardens. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:45 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
