Loraine Delpha Davis

Castlewood, VA-Loraine Delphia Davis, 96, went to be with the Lord Friday February 23, 2024. She was born October 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Rhoda Jessee Dingus. She worked several years in the Sewing factory, then went on to work for 20 years as a CNA in the health care industry.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kelly Davis; siblings:  Wilma Osborne, Giles Dingus, Jack Dingus, John Dingus, and Gary Dingus.

Survivors include her daughter: Fern Osborne and husband James D.; son: Lester Davis and wife Sharon; Grandchildren: Clifford Davis and wife Teresa, Amanda Osborne, Jonathan Davis and wife Chrissie, Renee Conger and husband Mike, Brittany Shortridge and husband Isaac; sister Sue Garland and husband Wayne, five great-grandchildren, three great great- Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday February 26, 2024, in the Dingus Family Cemetery with the Rev. Josh Savage officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00 pm at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will Dwayne Dingus, Tim Dingus, Bobby Salyers, Caleb Gray, Billy Gray, and Greg Jacobs.

Honorary pallbearer: Isaac Shortridge.
