Martha Louise Flinchem

Lebanon, VA – Martha Louise Flinchem, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 22, 2021. Born August 3, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Elbert and Lydia Culbertson. She loved the Lord with all her heart, loved her children, and her dog Scruffy. She attended Calvary Lighthouse Church. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and dear friend to so many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Sylvia Flinchem; her beloved son: Sylvan Flinchem; five siblings; one son-in-law: John Jones.

She is survived by one son: Gary Flinchem; four daughters: Carol Coleman and husband Paul, Lydia McCoy and husband Tim, Lisa Street and husband Paul, Susan Boyd and husband Ed; daughter-in-law: Tina Flinchem; ten grandchildren: John P. Jones, Donna McTaggart, Adam McCoy, George Jones, Matthew Flinchem, Sylvan Flinchem Jr., Jill Flinchem, Austin Boyd, Benjamin Street and Russ Boyd; great-grandchildren: Brittany Jones, Carol “Witty” Jones, John E.A. Jones,Josh Jones, Alyssa Umstot, Michael McTaggart, Nathanael McTaggart, Hannah McCoy, Patrick McCoy and Kinsley Flinchem; great-great grandchildren: Brooke Jones, Haylee Jones, Josh Jones Jr. and Mason Merryman; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Combs – Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Mike Ryan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Combs – Hess Funeral Service. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Green Hills Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home by 10:00 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Street, Paul Coleman, Ed Boyd, Tim McCoy, Adam McCoy, and Kirk McTaggart.
