Nancy Dye

Nancy J. Dye, age 80, went to be with the Lord Saturday August 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Born December 11, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Madge Hicks. Nancy was a very hard worker and raised her two boys by herself. She was an electrician for Clinchfield Coal Company, after being laid off, she enjoyed working with her sister Rhonda at Bob’s Barbeque before finishing out her employment of many years at Lear Corporation before retiring. Nancy’s greatest joy were her two sons, family, friends, and grandchildren along with two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Rhonda, and her sister Joanne.

Nancy is survived by her sons: Michael Dye and girlfriend Cathy Jessee, and Mark Dye and wife Charlene; grandchildren: Logan Baker, Gracie Smith, Taylor Barraclough and husband Erik, and Trey Wess; great grandchildren: Coast Cooper, and Max; sisters: Patsy Vencill and husband Bill, and Catherine Harper; brother, Tom Hicks and wife Regina.

Funeral service will be held 3:00pm Wednesday September 3,2025 in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Timmy Brown officiating . The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Combs-Hess Funeral Service and then go in procession to the cemetery for the service.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
