Paul Henry Musick

Lebanon, VA – Paul Henry Musick, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 6, 2023. He was a 1967 graduate of Honaker High School, a 1969 graduate of Bluefield College (University) with an Associate’s Degree in Engineering, and a 1971 graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering. From 1971-1977 he was a co-owner of Happy Hens Haven with his father H.G. Musick, Jr. where they processed and sold over 750,000 eggs per week, sold within seven states. He was the owner and operator of Musick Construction Company.  He was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church in Lebanon, VA where he served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He also built, designed and helped with many churches. Paul loved the Lord and his family with all his heart and was dedicated to both.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry Glen “H.G.” Musick, Jr. and Pauline Johnston Musick; son: Paul Gregory Musick; and brother: John David Musick.

He is survived by his wife: Tammy Musick; daughter: Heather Shockley and husband Jonathan; sisters: Rebekah Kennedy and husband Sandoe, Mary Ruth Musick, Sarah Beth Alderson and husband Phil; brothers: Tim Musick and fiancé Evelyn Jackson, Stephen Musick and wife Minnie, Phillip Musick and wife Sharon; grandchildren: Hannah Shockley and Jacob Shockley; stepsons: Jonathan Fields and wife Nicole, Brandon Fields and wife Crystal; step-grandchildren: Addison and Cooper; father and mother-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. W. Paul Campbell; along with several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Dr. Sami Jawad, Dr. Khaled Mansour and the Nursing staff in the ICU Clinch Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Green Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Musick, Rev. Larry Burton, and Rev. Jeff Kinder officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:45 a.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews.
