Reata Gale Batton

Swords Creek, VA – Reata Gale Batton, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 4, 2021. Born May 6, 1952. She was the daughter of the late John and Virgie Dye. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her house. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She worked at Maple Grove as a cook for ten years.

She is survived by her husband: Lowell Batton; daughters: Tina Marie Dotson and husband James of Honaker and Linda Miller and husband Tony of Swords Creek; son: Lowell Batton, Jr. and wife Misty of Swords Creek; sister: Dolly “Do” Ball of Swords Creek; brothers: Farley Spencer and wife Dellamae, Ronnie Dye, Billy Dye, Lonnie Gerald Dye, Stanley “Popeye” Dye and wife Peggy, Russell Dye and wife Wanda, Bernie Dye and wife Cindy, all of Swords Creek; grandchildren: Alexis Marie Batton, Amber Tucker, Ashely Tucker; aunts: Mattie Dye and Lucy Dye; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thanks to the doctors and staff of Johnston Memorial Hospital and her special friend Francis Brown.
