Lebanon, VA – Sharon Kaye Carpenter, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021. Born February 16, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Audrey Bogle. She loved cooking for her family, loved her grandchildren and enjoyed collecting angels. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Carpenter; brother: James Bogle; step-son: Al Carpenter; infant grandson: Patrick Snead.
She is survived by her daughter: Missy Snead and husband Tony; sons: James Waddle and wife Michelle, Michael “Rev.” Waddle and companion Stacy Aust, Scott “Baby” Waddle and wife Martha step-sons: Michael Carpenter, Rick Carpenter, Jack Carpenter and wife Deb; sister: Tootsie Osborne; grandchildren: Josh Snead, Jakota Blizzard, and Tiffany Helton; step daughter-in-law: Sherry Carpenter; multiple step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Sharon Kaye Carpenter will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Mutter Family Cemetery with Rev. Steve Stutzman and Rev. Wayne Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel and will go in procession to the cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Fields.
