Sherry Lynn Kiser

Sherry Lynn Kiser, age 72, went to be with the Lord Saturday June 28, 2025, with her family by her side. Born June 8, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Bascom and Viola Hurt Clifton. She loved walking on the beach looking for seashells and being Nana. Sherry graduated from Garden Creek High School and Southwest Virginia Community College. She retired from Roanoke City Schools having worked at William Fleming High School, she loved Jesus with all her heart.

In addition to her parents Sherry was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Clifton and infant sister Jackie Faye Clifton; sisters-in-law: Brenda Kiser and Faye Kiser.

Sherry is survived by her husband of fifty-one years Roy Kiser; daughter Heather Lynn Edwards and husband Matt; son David Matthew Kiser and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Josh and Fiona; sisters: Brenda Cantrell and husband George, Donna Blankenship and husband Alan; brothers-in-law: Lawrence Kiser and Jim Kiser, multiple nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A celebration of life service for Sherry will be held at 7pm Thursday July 3, 2025, in the Combs-Hess Funeral and Cremation Service chapel with Mrs. Mary Lynn Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm prior to the service.
