Vickie Snead Fuller

Hillsville, VA – Vickie Snead Fuller, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Born November 18, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James and Junella Snead. She was always cheerful, never met a stranger, and was a thoughtful friend and gift giver. She loved spending time with family, playing bingo, reading, listening to oldies music, driving zippy cars, and camping. She also enjoyed caring for her dogs, Sunshine and Cinnamon. She earned a master’s degree in special education from Radford University. Vickie retired from the Russell County Public School system after 32 years of service, where she held various teaching positions. She had a special talent for connecting with her students and making a life-long impact on them. 

She is survived by her daughters: Miranda Fuller and husband Seth West, Cassandra Clary and husband Clayton; sister: Jane Snead Jennings and husband David; brother: James William Snead and wife Sandi; devoted Mimi to her grandchildren: Caleb Ian Clary, Annabelle Katherine Clary, Elise Bexley Clary, and Joy Ansley Clary; nieces: Jill Williams, Bethany Gross, Jessica Host; nephews: Travis Fuller; Brent Jennings, Jonathan Snead; great-nephew: Hayden James Gross; and her granddog: Cooper.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Burton officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
