Virgie Mae Lampkins

Lebanon, VA – Virgie Mae Lampkins went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023. Born July 9, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mable Lawson. She was of the Baptist faith and liked to hunt ginseng and fish.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Lampkins; daughter: Ruby Lampkins; granddaughter: Amanda Sutherland; grandson: Roby Sutherland; sisters: Ruby Lampkins and Helen Lawson.

Survivors include her daughters: Rita Stanley, Betty Sutherland and husband Fred; sons: Darrell Lampkins, Jerry Lampkins, Gary Lampkins and wife Drema; sister: Gladys Price; along with several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Danny Rhea and Rev. Keith Milam officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Temple Hill Memorial Park.
