Walter Boardwine

Lebanon, VA – Walter Boardwine, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Born March 6, 1936. He was the son of the late Anthony and Georgia Tuggle Boardwine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years: Hildreth “Sis” Boardwine; sons-in-law: Donald “Foxy” Ferguson and Nelson Matheny; granddaughter: Rosa Ferguson; grandson: Allen Warner; seven brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his five sons, three daughters, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2022 in Ketron Memorial Gardens. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Vegas Ferguson, Hayden Ferguson, Justin Crabtree, Kevin Hicks, Caleb Hicks, Jeremy Boardwine, Chris Boardwine and Nathan Sturgil.
