Wayne Howard Osborne

Wayne Howard Osborne, 82, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Linda Joyce Fields Osborne, his parents, John Henry Osborne and Sarah Osborne and brother, John Osborne.

He was a lifelong resident of Russell County. He loved sports especially the New York Yankees, farming, hunting, fishing and ginseng hunts.

The last 25 years he put his heart and faith in the hands of the Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his sons, David W. Osborne and wife Pamela, Mike A. Osborne and wife Monica and Randy S. Osborne; grandchildren, Meghan Greene and husband Stephen, Ashley Brummette and husband Brandon, Brittany Hicks and husband Tyler, Blake Osborne and Logan Osborne; great-grandchildren, Hudson Greene, Memphis Greene, Jackson Brummette and Brynlee Hicks.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday May 20, 2026 in the Grassy Creek Church Cemetery with Shawn Dupuie officiating. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne (Mousey) Osborne, William Culbertson, Reverend Doug Trent, Bobby Joe Horne and Harry Clark.
