Wendel Lee Jacobs

Castlewood, VA - Wendel Lee Jacobs, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He liked to garden and to talk about fishing. He loved his children and grandchildren and worked his entire life to provide for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Isaac Jacobs and Luria Hall Jacobs; brother: Willie Jacobs; sisters: Clara Dell Jacobs, Loretta Jacobs, and Maline Harvey.

He is survived by his children: Lisa Porter, Charlie Isaac Jacobs and wife Jessica, Connie Ramsey and husband Charles “Peanut”, Matthew Clayton Jacobs and wife Tiffany; sister: Ethel Salyers; brothers: George Jacobs and Phil Jacobs; grandchildren: Craig Isaac Jacobs and wife Cali, Trevor Lee Ramsey, and Makayla Ramsey; great-granddaughter: Charlee Jacobs; mother of his children: Betty Jacobs; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Conn Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Chapel of Love Mausoleum. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.
