William "Tad" Dotson

William McKinley (Tad) Dotson, went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by his family to join his loving wife of 46 years Niata Dotson on Sunday, August 18, 2024. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Stacy Dotson and Lois Johnson Dotson; wife, Niata Jo Dotson; brother, Fredrick Scott Dotson.

 Tad was a devoted Christian and loved his Savior. Tad was a man full of love for everyone especially his family and his friends. He loved his wife, daughters, son, granddaughters, great-grandson, and his dogs more than words can express. Tad was a hardworking man as a contract welder for most of his career with Humphreys Enterprise. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and listening to music. He loved with his whole heart and was willing to lend a helping hand when needed and he also had a great love for eagles. 

Tad is survived by his son, Terry Grizzle; daughters, Kimberly McFarlane and husband, Dennis and Anita Herbert and husband, Glenn David; grandchildren, Makayla White and husband, Alec, McKinzey Mann, and Allison Herbert; great-grandchild, Leo White; siblings, Mary Sue Shortridge and husband, Dennis,  Marlene Dotson, and Kenneth Edward Dotson significate other, Sherry Anderson; nieces, Melinda Kidd, Crystal Batchelor, Laura Faye Hodges.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday, August 24, 2024, in the Combs-Hess Funeral & Cremation Service chapel with Glenn Elijah Herbert and Larry “Doc” Howington officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Alec White, Denny McFarlane, Joshua Boyd, Gabriel Boyd, Oscar Avila, Chris Alexander. Visitation with the family will be from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the funeral.
